Lavish And Luxurious Zen Beach House Design

Here are some pictures of a simple yet beautifully built beach house on Bainbridge Island. Sandy waterfront can be accessed from the backyard of the house. It is ideal for kayaking, swimming or long walks on a beach. The sleek house design surrounded by Cherry trees and a field of wild flowers gives the house Zen like quality. Plenty of birds such as kingfishers, woodpeckers, heron and eagles are found in adjoining open space and salt water lagoons.

The Zen house is designed and built using progressive architecture concepts. It was featured in Seattle AIA exhibition and was praised for its progressive design. Tongue and groove Cedar is used to build the exteriors. Cembonit panels and waterproof sheets are used for healthy air circulation within the house. A parapet surrounding single membrane sloping roof gives the illusion of flat roof. Entire house has sliding doors and bamboo floors.

Main entrance made of clear fir doors of narrow reed glass leads to a narrow hallway. Hallway has slate flooring and walls made of Cembonite panels. At the far end of the hallway free floating concrete staircase draws the attention as soon as one enters the house. Immediately left to the main entrance there is a meditation hall with floor to ceiling windows. To the right there is a European style Powder Room.

Living room has also one entire wall made of floor to ceiling windows. These windows offer breathtaking view of surrounding nature, clouds and waterfront. In between the windows, there is a see-through Propane fireplace fixed in a tall column.

Kitchen of the Zen house is sophisticated, designed with black granite and maple cabinets. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel sink, oven, grills, burners and overhead hood. There is a small pantry and a breakfast counter made up of granite slabs. The kitchen opens outside in a sheltered patio with a herb garden.

Bedrooms are upstairs. Geometrically designed sleek staircase leads to the upper level. Master bedroom has peaceful view of surrounding nature. It opens in a private deck that is ideal for relaxing. Both the bedrooms share His and Her bathroom. Both the bedrooms have ample closet space.

Interior décor of the entire house is quite simple. Bamboo flooring, sliding doors, breathtaking view of water and surrounding nature offer peace of mind and natural meditative state of being. It is a blessing to live in such a serene environment.

I am addicted to Sao Paulo. It’s one of the most interesting cities in the world. It is absolutely chaotic, ugly, polluted and any other unpleasant adjectives one might imagine, but with energy that is absolutely fantastic and unparalleled. The mixture of everything creates a unique and impassioned personality, says one of the best contemporary Brazilian architects Marcio Kogan. Born and educated in Brazil, Kogan has a modernist approach in designing his residential projects. Kogan’s masterpieces can be described as elegant, luxurious yet minimalist. He likes to use typically Brazilian materials for his beautiful and simple house design projects.

Here are the pictures of his much publicized project Paraty House. Paraty house is a lavish and luxury beach house located on a pristine beach of the colonial city of Parity. Parity is on one of the islands located in between Sao Paolo and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

This luxury beach house is a reinforced box house consisting of two levels. Two large drawers of reinforced concrete are pushed against a hill in front of the sea. Each level is connected through internal staircase. Although staked box house design is not much in demand, this is the best example of the minimalist house design. It blends very well with the surrounding nature as it is built from the concrete, Brazilian wood, and native vegetation.

The residents of the house have to use boat to come to the house. A metallic bridge over the crystal lined swimming pool connects the sea beach with the main entrance staircase. The lower level consists of service area, kitchen and living area. It has huge glass windows with a view of the sea. Bedrooms are on upper level. The front side of the upper level is covered by the panels of Eucalyptus sticks. The sides facing the hills have patios with lighting. Exposed reinforced concrete walls provide stunning texture to the structure.

Interior of the house has 20th century furniture collection and art work designed by well known artists. The décor is contemporary and simple. Minimalist interior design is inspired by the nature. Upper and lower level decks in front of the swimming pool have ergonomically designed wooden furniture. The entire roof is designed as a terrace garden scattered with the sculptures and plants. Herbs and medicinal plants are grown here. The luxury beach house is an ideal escape from the chaos and pollution of the city life.

The entire house as said above is 20,000 sq meters and that is huge in terms of the time and accessiblity of resources they had. This house is situated along the first coast line of the Carribean Island and is the creation of A-cero Architecture one of the top lines of designers. This house has been made of complete stone like the old British times houses. The entire house is well dresses using clear tomes of stones of Corraline. The walls of the house are curved and look like a sculptural set from the outside. There is a huge stone door in the middle of the curve door which makes the grand entrance to the house. The climate around the coastline has been kept in mind and hence the house has been adapted with good cross ventilation. Obviously for a house situated near the coastline, the panoramic view from most of the sides is the most needed thing.

This property is the hard work of Steven Lawson who is a known name in developing beach side property which blends with the New Zealand’s beaches. This hot water beach house situated on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula is a single storey property. The two panels which are designed are linked by a stained glass entry which helps in protecting the main gardens beauty from the sea winds. circulation.

Bernardes Jacobsen’s beach house is a truly modern and minimalist version of the traditional beach house. By skilfully blending glass and wood, he has made sure there is a lot of natural lighting and the house is in harmony with the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings. The view is truly spectacular and Bernardes Jacobsen was very particular that the construction did not disturb the natural beauty of the terrain.

The distinguishing feature of the interiors of this pavilion style beach house is a unique downward design; the entry foyer is on the second level with two ensuite bedrooms and the lower level constitutes the kitchen, the service area, staff quarters, a gym, a steam bath and four bedrooms. A sapphire blue pool overlooks the azure waters of the ocean in the horizon beyond a lush canopy of trees.
