A graduate from Konstfack University Sweden, Sachiko Segawa a Japanese designer presented her last year project and named it “Take Kagu” which means “bamboo furniture”. The inspiration for this project came from her own childhood memories that she had of visiting bamboo forests.
Using this bamboo forest wood this designer made lots of pieces of furniture which together would create a feeling of being in a bamboo forest itself.
On one hand though there are lots of problems with bamboo forests, it still stands as one of the most sustainable and ecological material.
